The Plaza OC MD board meeting was very well planned and executed, covering many topics of interest both present and future.

Overall, the board meeting today was very well run and went through a ton of topics that would definitely interest owners. Of the important topics, the resignation of Charlie Deegan was the first line of business, and was voted unanimously to approve (not that they had much choice, right?). There was an update on the RFP to confirm the 3 year extension of the current vendors of the Jungle Bar, which I'm sure most owners will approve.
Steve Kenny then took the reigns of the meeting and outlined all the upcoming improvements that we should expect to happen during season, as well as in the upcoming off season. Most notable was the replacement of the owners lockers, ongoing water testing for health reasons, 2 electric car charging ports to be installed as part of the recent power outage/maintenance done by Delmarva Power. Steve noted that one unexpected issue to arise from the outage was the water not being available due to the water pumps being electric.

The power outage, while it was done on schedule and within the communicated window, caused fall out which was not insignificant being that water is very important. Why this wasn't communicated out at any point to the owners, even if unexpected, shows we continue to have issues with informing the owners. We must hold the management team to task and not accept poor communications.
The financial report, future capital projects, and future of the board were also discussed and details of these topics will be available to read on the owners forum by clicking the image below. All comments from registered owners are welcome.
